Alocasia seeds need to be fresh to germinate  very fresh, like within a few days of harvest fresh  and even then most folks get only so-so results. Well-started TC plants or pups are the way to go. I would suggest trying sellers on eBay. Some may be willing to let you slide on the phytosanitary certificate  it's not like tropical plant diseases are going to be a big problem in the Great White North.
