Callia Lily Help

Hi,

My wife's Callia Lily has plenty of lust green growth but no flowers.

It is planted in full sun. It was a potted gift for my wife a year ago on Mother's Day.

We live in Massachusetts so we need to dig up the tubler in late fall, and this is the first year of re-planting it.

Calla love lots of water, sunshine and all the nitrogen you can throw at it. I purchased 14 tissue culture plants (quite small, non-tubered babies) a little over a month ago, and the first of them is already starting to flower.

You won't have too much time left in Mass, but I'd suggest laying down some milorganite around the base of the plant, watering it daily, maybe even twice daily, and giving it the strongest Nitrogen boost you can find. It wouldn't hurt to sprinkle some time release fertilizer like Osmocote around it as well.
