A. 'Borneo Giant', is it a slow grower?

I have two 10 gallon plants that I planted in our gully about a month ago, they put out leaves as soon as they went into the ground (the leaves that were about to emerge anyways). Now they both just put out their second leaf at the same time, so that's one leaf per month. The soil is great, I have a Colocasia 'Jacks Giant' going crazy in it as well as a bunch of newly planted bananas and colocasias.

We have been getting alot of rain, but the other plants don't seem to mind, and the Borneo Giants root's are taking over the huge bed I made for them quite nicely, so that's what's confusing me.

Maybe I got sent some regular A.macros instead, or are these things really slow?

PS. they get alot of sun, and it's REALLY hot and muggy down here in MEXICO, NOT IN NOR CAL ANY MORE.

Thanks, any advice would be appreciated.
