Amorphophallus Titanum question

I have an A. Titanum that I grew from seed. (thanks Troy!) A few months ago, it got knocked over in a storm and spilled most of the soil out of the pot, so I repotted it into a larger pot. It then immediately proceeded to die. (I thought). It was about nine months old at this stage. A month or two later I noticed it was sprouting up a new leaf. The leaf is just now starting to unfurl. My question is, does this mean the tuber went dormant? My biggest fear was it wouldn't come back after going dormant. Or, since it went dormant after being repotted, does this mean it will probably go dormant again this fall? Any ideas/advice would be appreciated.
