Looking for a Titan seedling

Hello All,

Been a while since I have posted here. Bioengineering classes are going well. Some of you may recall, that I was looking for a titan Arum for the Binghamton University instructional greenhouse last fall. I was pretty certain the University would be getting one from a doner in the spring, but the deal fell through. Regardless, I am willing to make a second attempt. I will trade a good size Clerodendron Thompsonae (2' tall, pruned to a nice shrub, has bloomed for years), a 1' tall Euphorbia Grandicornis, a 18" tall euphorbia ringens,a massive Pine cone ginger that has become almost tuberbound in a two gallon pot, and a amorph paeonifollius (sp? fairly small, but has three leaves on it). of tuber for anyone who is willing to send a titan seedling to the University greenhouse. I can get you the mailing address and contact information for the greenhouse director if you are interested.

I'd love to be able to offer you one of mine but i doubt that it would enjoy the journey, i do know of a source on ebay who may be able to help with seed though.

Hello Philh,
Thanks for offering, but I see that you are in the United Kingdom, that kind of trip would probably be too impractical. Plus it would likely get destroyed without a proper certificate. If the UK is anything like the US when it comes to certificates, it would cost more to send the plant than it would cost to buy one. The University tends to be pretty cheap when it comes to getting plants. For the most part, everything has come from either a doner, a prominant botanical garden that was generous enough to share.

I sure wish you luck, klavier. I was looking for one to donate to our local university, but someone actually beat me to it. Surely there are others out there! You remind me to spend some time seeing what else I can find for them.
