I like the little "paint splashes" of color on the spathe, too. Is this one of your minis?

Did you take it outside to photograph, or is it still growing outside in its pot?

Hi Susan, I got this beauty in from Australia last summer from a friend and it is just now growing. I was incredibly lucky to have it start with an influorescence....it is not a dwarf species, but the spathe is maybe 8 inches tall.....I need to measure it when I get home. I took it outside to photograph it in its splendor. We are way too cold for them to be outside this time of year. The tuber that produced this influorescence is maybe 3+ inches in diameter so they flower pretty small and these tubers do not get large as I understand it.

Chris, it has no smell at all....I was told they smelt like over ripened magoes, but I can not smell anything and my wife is not complaining like she does about the konjacs, bulbifers, etc. etc. so I imagine it has no smell.

Wilbert has asked me to cut the spathe open so that I can get pictures of the "naughty" bits so I need to muster the courage to hack the spathe tomorrow and get the pics...sort of a bummer, but the flower doesn't last long anyway and this way I can document the repro. parts.
