I just ordered some 8" plants. With fall setting I would like to know how I can keep the growth rate down till spring rolls in? Also can this speices be made to go dormant like the small elephant ears?

Robusta is very difficult to grow, even for the experienced gardner. You'll see. They do go dormant, but they don't always come back. They rot very easily, so don't overwater, water them like a cactus. Also, the amount of light must be just right to keep them from getting long & spindly. Don't forget air circulation to ward off mold & disease. You unfortunately could not have picked a worse time to get such a difficult plant. =( Good luck.
