Black Magic elephant ear

Hi - hope you don't mind me popping over from the perennials forum...

I have a pot of Black Magic elephant ear that I brought in the house for the winter. All the new leaves coming out are green and staying green (not changing to dark purple). Does anyone know the reason for this? When I put them back outside next season, will they revert back to the darker color or are they now going to stay green permanently? Thanks!

Probably just the light, or rather the lack of it. Even a very bright window is low light for a true sun-lover like Black Magic. It'll get black again when you can put it back outside next spring.
