RE: Titans-s-

I have one thats about 2 years old from seed, and yes, this is my first try...I didn't want to cut the leaf when it was too much smaller.
There are hundred of amorphs. Check out http://www4.ncsu.edu/~alan/plants/aroids/amorphophallus/ for some great pics.

Here is the latest pic, 2 perfect mini titans. I couldnt tell exactly how many tubers there are, they wouldnt come apart easily and since they are actively growing I didn't want to disturb them too much.

Mike, thanks for the sharing this technique. I notice there is what looks like a root showing in your first picture. How long did it take for the shoots to show after planting the leaf? How are they doing now?

RE: Titans-s-

The cutting was well rooted at 3 months, and the growth in the first pic was about a month after that. The babes are just starting to yellow, hopefully for a brief dormancy(and not death) I will post a pic of the tuber(s) when its fully dormant.

Did you use any rooting hormones on the leaf?

 o
RE: Titans-s-

Yes, just plain old Rootone.

RE: Titans-s-

The leaves were yellow and laying down, so repotted it, here is the tuber.
It has a large scar where the leaf separated-otherwise it seems normal except that it has 2 growth tips.
