They also had a lot of killer palms in that movie. I swear I saw either a Joey palm or a Darian palm in one scene!

Just saw it this weekend and yes, that pic you linked is what you see a field of alocasia in the palm tree covered beaches

I thought I was the only one who noticed stuff like that. It drives my hubby crazy when I don't notice what the characters are doing because I'm looking at the plants...

I think a lot of us lose track of the plot as we try to identify plants. My favorite currently is 'Lost'. Really have a hard time with what's going on trying to identify some of the fast-moving foliage. Well, it isn't actually the foliage that's fast-moving, but it makes it harder to identify!

Lol. I'm so glad I'm not the only one who does this! My roommate is a commercial interior designer, so whenever we see commercials set indoors, she's identifying the laminate countertops and floors, and I'm identifying the plants.

Greenelbows, I'm the same way with 'Lost'. I hadn't gotten into it until recently, but my boyfriend got season 1 for Christmas, so we've been watching it a lot the past few weeks. Something intense will be going on, and I'm checking out the really cool Alocasia in the background. Last week we were watching Jack chase his father through the jungle, and at one point I grabbed my bf's arm, pointed at the screen, and said, "Oooh, look!" and told him whatever the plant was i had just seen... then had to remind myself, he doesn't care. (It's fair, though -- he gets to tell me what kind of airplanes we see.)
