Yoshino Cherry Tree in Minnesota?

Hello, I bought some trees on Arborday.org and they stated that being in the twin cities we are in a zone 4 and 5 due to urbanization etc. I have looked and looked online to see if anyone has had success growing a Yoshino Cherry in Minnesota as I am now feeling like it was a mistake to get it! I was really hoping to have this beautiful cherry tree but now Im not sure it will survive throughout the winter. Anyone know if this tree will be able to outlast our winter? HELP!

RE: Yoshino Cherry Tree in Minnesota?

I ordered 2 bare roots from Freetreesand plants.com for 7.95 just to see if they were legit. I received them and planted them in large planters since I didn't know where I wanted them to grow. They will go into the garage over winter. The info I got with them said they are hardy to Z3; so maybe we will be lucky, Ellie btw they are growing just fine right now in Vt.
