Comments on hybrid melons

I am growing 8 varieties of heirloom melons this year and as usual, expect good/bad results. So, I thought this year I would hedge my bets and grow 3 hybrids just in case.

So far I settled on Ambrosia, Sucrine de Tours and Sweetie no. 6.

Has anybody grown these varieties with good results as to yield, taste and disease resistance?, or is there not much improvement over the heirlooms.
