| What color is a ripe chinese five pepper suppose to look like red or purple?
Can any color pepper be eaten if not ripe?
If so how do they taste not ripe?

Forestelves Chinese five color pepper! I just did a search. They turn from purple to cream to yellow to orange to red. They are red when ripe. They are hot and spicy. Thanks for posting. I had not heard of this pepper. It sounds very interesting. I will be trying it myself when I can get some seeds. Happy gardening!! |

| You can eat any edible pepper at any time no matter what color it is at any given time. You will find mild flavor when it is very young or when it has been allowed to grow and mature on the vine until it has changed color. |
