Planting waxed manioc? Tips?

Posted by dirtslinger2 5 (My Page) on

I bought a manioc root (tuber?) to plant, it is coated in wax. Is that a problem for planting? Scraping it off could cause serious damage I'd guess?

How deep should it be planted?

Thanks!!

Manioc (cassava) cannot be propagated by tubers. It is propagated by cuttings.

Here is a link but there are many other pages...

Thank you!
I don't think I can get stem cuttings in Canada, darn it anyways.
