Has anyone tried growing this green in the Northwest? Spinach is done early so I'd like to try this as a summer green.

Thanks, Bill

RE: Saluyot

I'm not in the Northwest, but I've grown it in Wisconsin. Have to start it early as transplants, but given that, it does very well here. Saluyot is the Filipino name for Corchorus olitorius, a.k.a. Molokhia or Egyptian Spinach, and many other names. It is a cut & come again green, that gets bushier & more productive until cool weather stunts its growth.
