| I live in zone 10a (or b) and I want a climber, maybe 2 for a very sunny and hot place (in a protected corner looking south, average summer highs around 30 ºC).
I was thinking about a melon but I'm open to sugestions. It must be something edible, either the fruit or everything. If it's productive much better. |

| Is bitter melon bitter? How does it taste? I don't think I've tried it. Thanks. |

| Yes, the name is directly derived from it's flavor. It is also excellent for diabetes because it helps maintain blood sugar levels naturally. I find that I crave it a few times a year. Do a search of this forum for bitter melon, you'll find growing information and recipes in existing threads. |
