Piper auritum looking plant??

I'm not sure where to post this but I'll try this as well as tropicals since I bought this plant from a nursery (Doan's in Irving) that carries a lot of Asian plants. It has a woody looking bulbous base, a couple "branches" with a leaf on the ends. The leaves are round with pinkish-red veins. Can anyone identify it? In going through a tropical book the piper auritum has leaves that look like this plant.

Could it be Piper methysticum - Kava Kava? All the other Asian Piper sp. I can think of have shiny leaves. Piper auritum has dull leaves but I don't think that it has pinkish-red veins...
