Common morning glory herb

| I propagated the herb below from grocery store cuttings. Sorry for my fuzzy pictures. It is low lying & has an invasive root or rhizome. Does anyone know the name & use for it?
Thanks in advance.

(Ipomoea cairica; Cairo Morning Glory; Ivy-leaved Morning Glory; Wu Zhao Long) It's medicinal use is as a laxative. I would be very cautious about growing it as it can be incredibly invasive.

Thanks Violet. It is invasive, & I have it in a pot.

My pleasure... What are you going to do with it other than grow it baci?

Hi again, Violet. Propagate, share with friends, & eat it. It was a hard herb to start, but once the rhizome develops it is hardy. It is listed as "morning glory leaves" in Asian recipes.
