Do you know a source for "thella" gongura seeds?

Never heard of 'thella' gongura - just red & green gongura. Does it look the same ?

I think Chukalla kura is called 'thella' gongura. Correct me if I am wrong. I am not from Andhra--it is just my knowledge regarding greens.

Chukkalla kura is not thella gongura. It is called Bladder Dock in English. Thella gongura is plain gongura without the red stems. The leaf and the stems are all pale Green in color. Red gongura is a little soggy. So for making chutney, people buy thella kura or dhanasari gongura in India. But here, since we do not get very many sour vegetables, and also the red gongura grows very well. That is the reason why we have this red gongura here in USA.

I just received some seeds (not gongura) from SOI. How successful have you been with their seeds? BTW, they don't have thella gongura on their website and are sold out of the red stemmed one.

They are pretty good. However, I did have problems with germination with Green Gongura and Dosakaya. I waited for them to germinate(they did not) and later sent email letting them know that these two had issues. I received free shipment fresh pack of these two and green gongura was temporarily pulled out of their site. He also said the they had received similar calls regarding the green gongura and he doubted the source of the seeds.
I was relieved because I was any how getting new pack. This was last growing season.
