mizuna and amaranth in planters?

| Will it be ok for me to grow these in planters? I have those long gray ones that I want to use. Most of my veggie growing space will be taken up with tomatoes, eggplants, and squash. I was planning to grow shiso and basil in the planters, but if I can do mizuna and amaranth, that will be good, too. If not, I suppose I can maybe grow them as a border?
thanks! |

| Oh, certainly -- most greens do very well in containers. The amaranth may not get as large as it would in the ground, but with such a vigorous, cut and come again type plant, that really shouldn't matter. |
