I didnt really knew where I should ask, I have already tried to ask this queston in a major general forum but no one knew there so i thought it would be better to ask here where there is a bigger chance that some one can help me out,

Anyway I have a friend that's currently is studying in east china, and about a week ago when she visit the local fruit market did she bought this fruit (the green one) but forgot to ask what it was.

*Its about the size as a big apple.
*Its probably from east asia since it was bought at a local fruitmarket and not a megastore.
*It got a neutral flavour but trending towards Cantaloupe
*It was soft as a melon but it wa smore like an apple inside.
* And as you can see, it looks like a melon.
* Also it had a weak smell of Cantaloupe.

So does anyone here know what kind of fruit this is?

Thanks in advance.

Never mind. Monk Fruit have seeds more like a bitter melon. This looks like some sort of small honeydew to me.
