I have a five year old Kaffir Lime tree and would like to sell the leaves in small packages at a farmer's market. Has anyone bought them at at farmer's market before? Have no idea of how to set the price.

Here's a link to the site of a store that sells fresh Kaffir Lime leaves by mail. Unfortunately, their prices automatically include shipping. Perhaps if you e-mailed them they'd be willing to tell you what the actual shipping is versus product cost. (I don't think I'd tell them "why" you wanted the info, though, lol!!)

Hi Gloria, not too sure. I'll try to check on some of the recent prices at my local markets. I have a large 15+ years old tree so I don't really buy any. It would probably depend on your area. But I remember a time when just a handful of kaffir lime leaves used to be 3-4 dollars. I used to help my grandma stripped clean the leaves of her kaffir lime and she would sell them to the local supermarkets. Now these days, its so easily available though in my area.
I know of Thai chefs that would swear that seedling kaffir limes produces much more fragrant leaves while the grafted one had less scent. I couldn't tell the difference. Which one do you have?

Where can I acquire a Kaffir Lime tree. I would love to grow one since my Daughter in Love and I cook Thai food often. Thanks for your help

Try Four Winds Growers. They are in CA and seem to have a good reputation on Gardenwatchdog. They can ship to states that dont have their own citrus industry. I dont imagine OR has a citrus industry does it?

I bought frozen kaffir lime leaves at a thai store around 4 years ago . One bag (the size of quart sized ziplock) filled with the leaves on stems for $4, I think.
