Hello all,

I am a little plerplexed by how my curry leaf plant behaves. I have seen several plants with friends and family, that are lush, busy and have several suckers from the bottom of the mother plant.

Mine is several years old (5-6) and is in a large pot that goes indoors for the winter (Dallas TX, zone 7a). It has grown tall, borne fruit and has a few seedlings.

However,I can not get it to branch out!! I have cut the trunk each spring and it promptly puts out one new brach, that continues to grow like a palm tree! The plant is healthy but not LUSH! It smells wonderfula and I use it in cooking. I would love for it to branch out a bit more.

I have heard there are differences in plants that sucker and those that dont.

What kind of plant do I have?
