black futsu winter squash

i've never grown this or any other winter squash. i've got the seeds starting to come up. i'll be transplanting into my garden within the next month hopefully. how much room do they need? are they a vineing squash? thanks in advance for you help.

| Yes, they are vining... they don't get too big, mine got maybe 4 X 4 |
