Eggplant Insect Infection

Hello,

my first post here. I started a small organic garden of tomatoes, peppers, and eggplant. However, today I found a weird plant death. lower stem was strong and green, upper leaves were strong and green, while a portion of stem was completely dead, it appeared as if insect has sucked out stem juice completly.

Wondering what insect might be responsible for this cold blooded murder and what do I need to do to prevent from further bloodbath. I have picture of the dead plant but dont know how to upload.

Could anyone help on what do I need to do here? Thanks

Hi behlgarden,

Pictures sure helps--otherwise it is anybody's guess. However, I suspect it could be ringworm--how big is the plant?.

There are several posts related to uploading the pictures, please search for them and you will learn.

Also, if you are looking for organic treatment for the problem, you may have to post the issue in Organic forum here.

Another one died today. the plant is about 5 inch tall, still trying to figure out what caused it
