I have not been on the forum for many months but I always post the Asian garden every year this year is no exception. Here is my 2006 garden posted over on Webshots hope you like it.

No I have not gotten an English translation my wife can read it in Chinese of course (she wrote it) but doesn't know how to name the vegetables in English.

Ask your wife how she prepares it. Is it cooked? How? Pickled? With what? Etc.

Also, ask her if it has serrated or smooth edges. And let us know what the phonetic pronounciation is of it in Chinese. (Spell it out by how it sounds in Chinese when she says it.)

Not only very pretty, Kubotabx, but the vegetables look very tasty! Appears to be good, rich soil. Nice.

I'm going to look thru here and see what we might be missing. Thanks!

Here is your unidentified plant...

Common English names:
Chinese Spinach
vegetable amaranth

Amaranth varieties used for vegetables:
Amaranthus dubius
Amaranthus hybridus
Amaranthus cruentus

Cantonese: "Yin Choy"
Mandarin: "Xian Cai"
