What to do with dried jujube?

I bought some dried jujube in the Asian grocery store because it smells so wonderful. What's a person do with it? How is it cooked and what (how much) is it put in? I understand it grows in Texas. What's your experience with growing it?

It's normally used in soup or sweet desserts. You can also just eat the dried one out of the bag. They are good.

I've eaten dried jujube and they are delicious. They taste somewhat like a date. Don't eat the small pit!

The process of drying usually kills the seed, but sometimes they are viable. If you have a plump seed, crack it open & remove the seed. It will root in Vermiculite with the baggie method. I have cracked open many a jujibe, & only the plump ones will grow. The flat ones are bad seeds.
