Hi, I'm looking for Cinnamomum tamala (Indian Bay Leaf) plant. Please let me know the nurseries or other places to buy this plant.

thanks Anna, I tried in both the places and they don't seem to have Indian bay leaf plant

I have tried to source this and have not been able to find it either. In fact even the dry packaged bay leaf from Indian stores these days is bay laurel and not the Indian tej patta with the 3 ribs in the leaf.

i agree GWlolo, most of the Indian grocery stores sell bay leaf are mediterranean bay leaf laurel.

Indian Bay leaf is comparatively stronger and pungent than bay laurel. Hope someone points to a source.

West Indain Bay leaf (pimenta racemosa) is available on both our ebay and esty store at ecogardenbotanicals. This is not bay laurel but the Indian myrtle plant.
