Trailing Long Beans (Zi 28-2)

| Hi there,
I bought seeds for Oriental trailing long beans (approx. 26") and wonder if anyone could give me good tips on how to grow them - and cook them! - with success.
Thanks!

Grow them in full sun. I never have problems growing them. One of my beans measured 32 and l/2 inches. I didn't get to pick them for a few days so they got long and inedible. So pick them when they are young. I just had my first crop...I stir-fried them with some sliced chicken meat and garlic/black bean sauce and some onions. It was delicious. Hope they do well for you. |

Pick them when they are no thicker than a pencil and they will be tender and delicious. I'm growing mine on an arch this year and love it: >img src=http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b4d929b3127cceb190518085f10000001610"> The front of the arch has European cucmbers, middle has small French cantaloupes, the back has beans. |
