 o
Alternative Asian growing methods?

I was in the Alliums forums, and they mentioned that in Japan they will mound dirt around bunching onions to produce a long while stalk. That is something I am going to try.

Are there any other growing methods for vegetables that are non-standard within the US that Asians utilize?

thanks,
Dean
