It's not necessarily Asian... you might try at the Herb Forum. I've never used it for anything culinary...

I'm assuming your Himalayan Mint looks like the pic in your posting? . From my end I can't tell what it should look like.

It's not the shrub. I'm 100% positive it's
Mentha longifolia 'Harmaaminttu'

Mint can be used to season drinks including cock tails. It looks good and adds a cooling effect.
