Ridge gourd no fruit after weeks of flowering

| I have some ridge gourd plants in my garden in DFW area (zone 8). They have grown really large and get several flowers daily. However, I am not getting any fruit. I have the same problem with my snake gourd plants. I notice most are male flowers. Is there anything I can do to encourage more female flowers?
Incidentally, tomatoes are also blooming but flowers are drying up before bearing fruit. I wonder if it is too hot for the plants (it has been in 90s all of july and is now over 100F). Can more water mitigate the effects of the heat? |

I am having the same problem here in Beaumont. I have one tiny fruit. My winter melon has only one melon. I'm really disappointed because last year I had so many ridge gourd that I gave them away.
Don't know what's the problem; little water? or too hot? |
