Beetles eating mustard sprouts in So Cal.

Anybody in San Diego, Los Angeles or Riverside counties having trouble with Bagrada beetles? Just 5 days ago I direct seeded a bunch of brassicas, Gai choy, bok choy, turnips, gai lon etc. Yesterday they all sprouted and attached to almost every sprout were small painted beetles. This morning no trace of sprouts. And no trace of the beetles until the sun warmed the soil and then the beetles moved to the second plot and are presently totally destroying the sprouts there. I first saw these beetles 3 years ago (apparently even before the first recorded report in LA in 09) on over summered broccoli, but did not know what they were or if they were a threat. I saw them again last year and then this last month on old collard plants. Now after making a positive ID, I relealize I made a big boo boo in not cleaning up all the old cole crops sooner, forget waiting for seed colection. Yet another non-native invasive pest. This one from Africa. Aren't we so lucky?
