I would like to know if anyone grow asian pears( Hosui variety) well in North Texas area. thanks!

Don't know about Texas, but I have grown Hosui and several other Asian pears in Virginia and Georgia with no extraordinary problems. Like most pears, you have to be cognizant of fireblight. You may get more responses in the fruits forum.
