hauka or lanka plant

Anyone ever heard of a hauka or lanka plant? It looks like a ginger & the leaves are used in cooking wrapped around chicken or fish. I believe the names are Thai names.

Could it be Galangal? One of the botanical names is Languas galangal(Alpinia galanga) and it sounds very similar to Lanka.
