Hi All,
I live in Bay area(Cupertino, CA). I have a small 16" curry plant in a pot. I currently have this outdoors. Will it help if i bring this plant indoors during winter(or atleast during nights). As i might get a little bit of sunlight even during winter i an thinking of leaving it ourdoors during day and keeping it indoors under grow light(40 watts flouracent!!!) during night. Pls. suggest me whether it makes sense.
Thanks in advance

i live in zone 7 and keep my curry plants indoors throughout the winter months. i start when the low temperatures begin to dip below around 60 degrees. i have friends who keep the plant outside in the daytime but i am too afraid that i might forget to bring it in. i do not use any special light inside, just keep it by a window.the only problem i have experienced is scale infestations.

It is difficult to predict how low night time temps will fall.As long as the temps. remain above 60 deg. F plant will be O.K..A spell of snow or temps. bellow 55 deg. is likely to kill the plant. If you are not sure about range of night time temp. variations in/out process will do good to your plant.

Hi Pvel & Chaman,
Thanks a lot for the response. I think i can follow in/out process. BTW will it continue to grow if i follow this or anyway will go dormant?
