 o
trellis or not for snow peas shoots

Hi,

I am just wondering what is the best way to obtain a maximum yield in a small home garden. Some members here suggested planting the snow peas in ground/tray and harvest the tips when they are about 10 inches long. So there is no trellis. But the planting guide on the seed package suggests using a trellis.

If I use no trellis and keep harvesting when the plant is young, the plant won't produce much, right? If I use a trellis, the plant can grow taller and bigger, so it may have more tips to harvest.

What is your experience on planting snow peas for shoots? Thanks.

Trellis. I always have them scale a trellis so it's easier to pick shoots or pods. Depending on the variety you have, some will just keep on branching out when pinched.
