I assume this perilla is related to the other shiso or beefsteak plants.
Has anyone eaten it? or have any info?

| 'Magilla' is only a variety name. These common name for Perilla is Shiso and what I've read it would be just as edible as the common variety. Kewl, another pretty that I can eat! |

The perillas are used to flavoring and coloring various pickled vegetables and the red one goes with pickled plums. I believe all the perillas are edible herbs. Cheers Maryanne |
