What Asian pumpkins/gourds can grow in the Pacific NW?

Hello,

I was hoping to try and grow an Asian variety of pumpkin/squash/gourd in my small Seattle garden. I would need to trellis it, since I don't really have space to let something sprawl around. Anyways, I really wish that I could grow kabocha, but I don't know if it would really do well here in zone 7b/8 without taking extraordinary steps (long-term growing tunnel, etc.). Has anyone in the pacific NW grown this or other Asian pumpkins/gourds? Thanks for the advice...

I grow the Adapazari Squash,a Turkish variety. We also use as edible landscaping.I usually get one large Squash per plant. My largest this year was 54Lbs. You can read about it on the Garden Web Heirloom Forum.
