Dosegai - veggie? fruit?

at the market today I picked up a 3 pack of some sort of round, yellowish fruit or vegetables that say on the package "Fresh Dosegai". I have done numerous searches and cannot find any info at all that even mentions dosegai...did they mislabel this package??? My receipt says the same things.

It's an Indian yellow cucumber. Usually spelt Dosakai. Here is a link to a photo and recipe:
