Hi all,
My first post here on this forum (I've been posting for several years on the cactus forums). Here's a photo of Azalea 'Christine Magic'. A very beautiful new variety that blooms for a very long time. It's an Azalea indica type.

Several people asked for more information about this cultivar. It is of Belgian origin (Belgium is by far the largest Azalea producer) and it's only grown in very limited numbers and under licence only. For more information see the hortinno website.

Here is a link that might be useful: hortinno

Pieter,
You have cleared up such a mystery for me. Our grocery stores sell these azaleas in pots in their floral department, but I never see them in our nurseries. The conventional wisdom would be that they were not intended to go out in the garden, but when I have gotten them on sale, after the blooms are spent, I have tried them in the ground. They have so far not shown a bit of distress and the first one I planted has actually grown.
I am wondering if they have more than one blooming flush per season. I was told that they re-bloom, but I don't know if the clerk knew what she was talking about.
