Nice Azalea for a Hedge?

I have an azalea hedge composed of red formosa azaleas. While the blossoms are pretty, the forma and foliage of the azaleas isn't particularly attractive. The former owner of our home never shaped them. We have trimmed them once and will trim them again this year. However, I have seen other hedges around our town using the same variety, and they pretty much look the same as ours. However, I have seen other varieties around town that make a really nice hedge.

I'd appreciate it if someone could recommend a few varieties that would make a nice 5 to 6 foot tall hedge.
