azalea/rhodie cold damage

stonequeen

I have noticed a lot of brown leaves on the tips (6inches or so) of several azaleas that usually get through the winter fine. Is this due to the incredibly cold February we had in north Jersey? Should I trim them off?

One of my rhodies has its outermost leaves in the "cold" position, although it's no longer that cold. The leaves closer to the middle of the plant seem okay. Same question: trim them off?
