Is it open and bright away from your north facing wall? These are said to bloom in more shade than some, but it's still going to need at least bright indirect light.

Hershey Hybrids - This group was started in Pennsylvania in the mid 1930's to be used for greenhouse forcing, but shows hardiness in Zones 7-9. Bloom time early, height medium so approx 3' after 5 - 8 years, possibly taller if well grown. Good foliage, bright flower.

It will get direct morning sun. Evening sun will be blocked by my front porch. There are no trees or anything else providing shade, other than the wall and porch.
