I've had my azaleas for some years so I think I know them; but this year, so far ( the ones that have bloomed) have suddenly turned double. Exactly WHAT ARE they spraying from those jets anyway to cause this?

And this one has always had SOME hose-in-hose double flowers but it has always been sexually complete- as I've used it for breeding in the past because of the hose-in-hose trait. This year it is completely sexless.

My VA Bluebell flowers are also deformed this year.

I can't wait to see if the rest of my EG azaleas come out double this year. I know that one who has bloomed faithfully for me for years doesn't even have flower buds on it this year.
