i grow about 5 different varieties of the encores. 'royalty' is a good, medium purple rather than fuchsia. looks good with 'twist', which has white flowers striped with purple/pink and an occasional solid flower.
'rouge' is probably closest to your "rich rose-pink" color.
most of mine are sited in an open woodland with isolated beds and not really a border. i have them grouped with shade-tolerant plants and other types of azaleas, all of the others being white or various shades of pinks and purples, and find they provide splashes of color in an otherwise green and brown scheme. dont' expect too much from them in the way of flower-power. they do offer two periods of bloom but neither one will match the profusion of a spring flush of the "regular" azaleas (this has been my observation in my garden).
still, it's nice to see some color in the otherwise fading palette of shaded areas during late summer.
