Golden Lights in CA?

Hello everyone!

My wife really loves azaleas and saw "Golden Lights" in a catalog and fell in love with it. I'd love to get it for her, but I want to make sure it'll do well here.

Other azaleas I found in Greer Gardens that I thought might be good in the same color family were "Glen's Orange" (evergreen) "Apricot Sunrise" (deciduous).

Does anybody have any experience with any of these in mild climates?

Thanks,

Matt

Golden Lights is deciduous and very hardy. I am not sure how it would do in a warm climate. There are other deciduous yellows that are good. I like Klondyke for a yellow. Gibraltar is a good orange.

The Deangelos Chapter of the ARS recommends the following deciduous azaleas:
    'Gibraltar'
    'Golden Flare'
    'Mount Saint Helens'
    'Mrs. Betty Oliver'
    'Strawberry Ice'

Thank you! Those seem like excellent suggestions.
