Azaleas have low nutritional requirements compared to many shrubs. If they are not showing signs of needing fertilizer and you have no symptoms to address, chances are your soil is providing adequate nutrition already - overfertilization can lead to foliage growth and reduced flower bud set.

Pruning is not required, if you need to shorten a wayward branch or two to improve shape, now is the time to do it.

Your azaleas will set buds late this summer for next Springs blooms - the best thing you can do for them is mulch to conserve moisture and keep the root zone cool, make sure they have adequate water this summer, and enjoy their evergreen presence in your garden.
