Rhododendron leaves have holes

Hi, I bought my rhodo in Spring of 05 and it bloomed. Towards the Fall of 05 into early spring 06 it started getting holes on most of the leaves. It wasn't just bites on the tips, actual holes in the middle of the leaves. Then some leaves started to brown and fall off. I figured it was some type of pest, so I sprayed it. Well sadly to say, that spring I didn't get any blooms...I must of killed them with the spray. I went back to the nursery and explained the situation. The guy gave me fertilizer specifically for rhodos and as soon as I used it (during late summer of 06) buds started appearing! Well, it's now April of 07, I've used the fertilizer once last week, the buds are still there and big, the holes are still there and I'm wondering if I'll see any blooms?? Any comments? Similiar situations??
