Spring spurt.......

I'm in Central Jersey about a mile from the Ocean. While there's been a dearth of rain (I finally started watering the gardens yesterday after the much publicized rain never happened), much has begun to bloom these last 24 hours with the mild temps.

While mucronulatum Pink Panther and Cornell Pink are waning after 2+weeks of bloom, Rh. Mary Fleming, Yellow Eyes, Joseph Dunn, and an unknown lavendar as well as another pink lepidote are also blooming. Another mucronulatum, this one a dwarf: 'Crater's Edge' also just started in my garden bed that fronts the deck. Viburnums are also beginning to flower with that heavenly fragrance.

Black earth live again.....
